Daniel Drouet

A telecom engineer by training, Daniel spent several years providing consulting and training services to operators, regulators and large corporations across North America, Africa and the Middle East. In addition to his technical skills, his expertise includes assessing impacts of new technology on existing business models. More recently his focus has been on software for Internet and mobile applications.

He is a co-founder of Montreal Start Up, a Venture Investor that provides funding and support to innovative Montreal tech start-ups. He has also been with île sans fil, one of the most successful community wireless groups, since its beginning and currently serves as its president.

Daniel has a bachelor degree in Economics and another in Electrical Engineering, both from McGill University in Montreal.
